About Pre-K for All
Currently, all publicly funded Pre-K programs in Memphis and Shelby County require income eligibility for enrollment.
Pre-K for All aims to be the first program in Memphis and Shelby County to provide FREE Pre-K for ALL 3 and 4-year-olds in Shelby County, regardless of income. Thus allowing parents/guardians to work or go to school knowing their children are in a high-quality program.

How Will I Enroll My Child in FREE Pre-K?
Pre-K for All will be offered at First 8 Memphis Pre-K Operator locations, view all Operators, plus enrollment tips and the many benefits of Pre-K, at PreKMemphis.com.
Enrolling your child in Pre-K gives your family access to special support, wraparound services, and other impactful resources. Children must be 4 years old by August 15 to be eligible.
How Can My Center Become a F8M Pre-K Partner?
To participate in the First 8 Memphis Pre-K for All program, Shelby County Pre-K centers will be required to actively apply. F8M will share a RFP for the 26-27 school year in the fall of 2026.
